📈 DSU Sets Another Enrollment Record
Del State just hit its biggest student body ever — 6,623 students, up 31% since 2020. With students from 41 states and the Inspire Scholarship booming, DSU is leveling up and aiming for 10K next.
🐆 Southern Ends a Tough Season With a Classic Win
Southern wrapped a rough year with a Bayou Classic thriller, edging Grambling 28–27 thanks to senior Ckelby Givens’ clutch fumble recovery. A season of adversity turned into a storybook finish.

🚀 PVAMU’s Alexander Hernandez Is Turning Problems Into Blueprints
Prairie View A&M junior Alexander Hernandez is showing what HBCU entrepreneurship looks like in real time. The finance major and Entrepreneurship minor is already managing clients, building a consulting venture, and turning challenges into opportunities.
💭 “I stopped seeing problems as walls and started seeing them as blueprints.”
💡 Why It Matters: He represents a new wave of HBCU innovators turning ideas into real ventures and building community impact while still in school.

Sports Journalism Intern (Spring 2026)
WKRG-TV News 5 is offering an in-person Spring 2026 internship with hands-on experience in sports reporting and live TV production.
