🎓 Huston-Tillotson Receives $150M Gift
History made in Austin: The Moody Foundation just pledged a record-breaking $150 million to Huston-Tillotson University 🎓 — the largest single donation to any HBCU. President Melva K. Wallace called it “a transformative moment” that will fuel generations of Black excellence.

Scholarship Spotlight: TMCF x JPMorgan Chase Hardship Scholarship
Need a financial boost to keep pushing forward? The Thurgood Marshall College Fund and JPMorgan Chase are offering a need-based scholarship of up to $2,500 for eligible students at TMCF member schools. Open to all majors with a 2.5 GPA or higher. 121 scholars will be selected for the 2025–2026 academic year.
📌 Eligibility: Full-time student at a TMCF member school; U.S. citizen or permanent resident; FAFSA on file; demonstrated financial need

A classic HBCU football rivalry you don’t want to miss! Alcorn State takes on Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Memphis for one of the most anticipated matchups of the season.

🌟 Sandra Douglass Morgan: Championing the Las Vegas HBCU Classic
As president of the Las Vegas Raiders, Sandra Douglass Morgan is breaking barriers and building bridges. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she’s championing the inaugural Las Vegas HBCU Classic — bringing Grambling State and Jackson State to Allegiant Stadium on October 25. 🏈
💭 Her Vision: To elevate HBCU football and culture on one of the world’s biggest stages — Las Vegas.
💡 Her Impact: From her leadership as the first Black woman president in the NFL to creating opportunities for HBCU athletes and showcasing the culture with bands, mixers, and community events, Morgan is turning this Classic into more than just a game.

🏈 NCCU Runs It Up in the Aggie-Eagle Classic
NCCU showed OUT in the Aggie-Eagle Classic, putting the culture on full display with a 62–20 beatdown of NC A&T. 🦅💜 The Eagles stacked up over 700 yards of offense — a straight-up program record. Chris Mosley went off with five touchdowns, and QB Walker Harris was dropping dimes all night for 380 yards and three scores.
✨ Why it matters: This wasn’t just a win, it was a statement. From the tailgates to the band battles, the Aggie-Eagle Classic is HBCU tradition at its finest — and NCCU just made sure everybody knows who runs it this season.
Gulf Coast Challenge 2025
The Gulf Coast Challenge is back Oct. 2–4, 2025, in Mobile, AL! Expect a three‑day HBCU experience anchored by the Jackson State vs. Alabama A&M football game, plus networking and culture. Events include a College & Career Fair, Gospel Explosion Concert, team luncheon, HBCU Fest, parade, and game day showdown.
