👋🏾 What’s good, fam?

Another week, another chance to celebrate everything HBCUs bring to the table. From campus to culture, classrooms to communities, we’ve got stories that inspire, moves being made, and wins that remind us why HBCU pride runs deep.

Let’s get into it👇🏾

📊 HBCUs Shine in 2026 Niche Rankings

The new Niche rankings are in — and our schools are making noise nationally. From academics to student life, HBCUs are proving once again we’re not just in the conversation, we are the conversation.

🌍 HBCUs Eye Expansion Beyond the South

Boston, San Francisco, San Diego — city leaders are working to bring HBCU satellite campuses to places that have never had them. It’s all about making sure Black students find spaces where they belong, no matter the zip code.

🏫 NYC Opens First HBCU Prep School

History was made in Queens with the opening of the first-ever HBCU-focused prep school. Led by DSU alum Dr. Asya Johnson, the school is giving high schoolers HBCU culture, early college credits, and a pathway to success. The demand? Over 1,000 applications for just 100 spots.

💼 Don’t Sleep on the HBCU Internship SZN

Internship season starts now, not later. We’ve got the breakdown on when to apply, which programs are looking for HBCU talent, and how to lock in Summer 2026 opportunities before the spots are gone.

💭 Her Vision: Keep opera timeless but put it where the people are.
